The Restaurant at Cavalli is excited to announce the launch of its new winter menu creating cozy and reasonably priced “Everyday Gourmet” experiences with the very best local and sustainable ingredients.

 

Chef Calum Anderson’s “Everyday Gourmet” winter menu is all about celebrating real food that nourishes and excites. Putting a contemporary spin on classic dishes, foodies can expect rich aromas thanks to dishes such as the forest mushroom soup delicately poured from copper pots onto a bed of carrot croutons, porcini chantilly and caraway carrots. 

 

The estate takes pride in growing seasonal herbs, having vegetable varieties grown from seed or cuttings and foraging daily in the heirloom vegetable garden in true ‘farm to table’ fashion, sizzling with fare such as the glazed free-range duck breast, miso aubergine pancakes, sweetcorn purée, bok choi and ginger jus.

 

As the first Green-star rated restaurant in the South Africa, Cavalli celebrates the beauty of natural heritage. Guests can experience the new winter menu paired with an expertly crafted wine list, craft beers and an impressive selection of whiskeys while overlooking a serene dam set against the backdrop of the magnificent Helderberg mountain range.

 

Cavalli partners with local, like-minded producers to source produce with the very best flavour, colour and texture. Calum believes in serving delicious, fresh, whole foods prepared in a way that honours the seasons and is priced to encourage diners to return time and time again.

 

The Restaurant at Cavalli invites foodies in search of a relaxed “Everyday Gourmet” experience with a Winter Special at refreshingly reasonable prices; of 15% off a 3-course meal plus 20% off all wines and cocktails valid from Wednesday to Friday for lunch and dinner. The Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Saturday. Sundays lunch only.
