Serves 2 | Preparation time 5-10 minutes | Cooking time 10 minutes



2 x 200g hake fillets

1-2 tsp butter

1-2 tsp olive oil

1 bunch vine tomatoes

1 handful fresh basil leaves

1 tin cannellini beans, drained

1 small lemon


  1. Season the fish fillets and fry in the butter and olive oil over medium heat until golden and just cooked through. Add the tomatoes for the last 1-2 minutes. Remove and set aside on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  2. Warm the cannellini beans in the same pan over medium heat, remove and add to a pretty serving plate. Add the fish and tomatoes. Serve immediately with a scattering of fresh basil and a squeeze of lemon juice.
