FLEUR DU CAP RAISES A GLASS TO CHENIN BLANC ON #DrinkChenin DAY As a proud producer of three different variations of Chenin Blanc, Fleur du Cap is celebrating the oldest and most widely planted grape variety in South Africa on international #DrinkChenin Day on Friday, 17 June. Visitors to Die Bergkelder in Stellenbosch will receive a free comparative tasting of the top tier Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Chenin Blanc, the more accessible Bergkelder Selection version, and the slightly off-dry Natural Light. True wine elegance is portrayed in the Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Chenin Blanc. The wine was matured for eight months in oak, resulting in a beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness with a medley of fruit flavours lingering on the palate. This is a Chenin Blanc for big occasions and has the potential to age beautifully. The lightly oaked Bergkelder Selection Chenin Blanc is a multi-layered wine with complex varietal flavours. Aromas of apple, guava, litchi and a touch of oak spice are unlocked with the first sip. The mid-palate is filled with tropical fruit, ending in a creamy finish. If you prefer to live life on the lighter side, Fleur du Cap Natural Light Chenin Blanc, with its big flavour and low kilojoule count, is the perfect choice. This refreshing wine shows aromas of pear, pineapple, guava and litchi that lingers on the palate. It is sure to set the tone for a relaxing, guilt-free indulgence allowing you to enjoy life a little more responsibly, without having to compromise on taste.
