GETTING BACK INTO SHAPE The hardest part is getting started. Four Rules: Make a commitment Pick a workout (the right workout) Eat well (healthy) Reward yourself Before you begin consult your doctor to give you the A-Okay to do physical activity and to inform you of any physical limitations you may have. If it has been a while since you last did regular exercise or if it’s the first time, start off slowly. Do not over exercise as this will increase your risk of injury. Unless you have magic powers, make your goals realistic. It won’t happen in an hour, and believing this is possible will make you lose interest fast in gym. Try eating regularly – every 3 hours, and not huge amounts at one sitting. This will help you gain control of your blood sugar level, which will help you control your appetite. This in turn will help you control your weight. Drink plenty of water – great weight loss tool as it has no calories, carbs or sugar.
