Samsung entered the mobile market with its mobile initiative in 1983, and revealed its first handset, the SH-100, in 1988. Since then the company has had many mobile devices and in 2008 embarked on the full touch screen journey, with all Samsung smartphones today featuring full touch screens. In 2010 the first Galaxy S-series entered the market, setting the tone for the rest of the Galaxy series as a high-end Android smartphone. Through various milestones, like the Galaxy S2 assisting Samsung to take over the top spot for smartphone sales in 2011, the Galaxy series of smartphones has become synonymous with the word “Android” and is still leading the pack in this field. After the Galaxy S3, came the Galaxy S4 and S5, but it was the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge that caused the next big stir in the market with its superior functionality and sleek curved design in 2015. Now, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge flagship smartphones are taking the Galaxy S series to another level and the Galaxy ecosystem of devices to new heights. The evolution of the Galaxy S series can be seen at the Galaxy Studio with all of these devices on display. This Galaxy Studio will give visitors a look at the full Galaxy ecosystem and the opportunity to experience the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge functions and capabilities, the Gear S2 wearable smartwatch, Gear 360 camera, Gear VR and the ultimate in virtual reality, the Gear VR 4D theatre. Samsung made significant hardware and software updates to optimise gaming performance on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.
