Hundreds of Harley Davidson riders participated in the second annual K.I.D.S Blanket Run from GrandWest on Sunday 19 April 2015 to raise funds and collect blankets for underprivileged children. This year, the blankets and donations collected from the K.I.D.S Blanket Run will be donated by Rotary Blouberg to local children’s charities including The Homestead, TLC Projects, Ons Plek and Zusakhe House amongst others.

The mass ride, organised by the Harley Owners Group Tygervalley Chapter South Africa, saw the bikers ride in convoy to Milnerton High School where they gathered for an afternoon of fun and activity.

The K.I.D.S Blanket Run has become a tradition in the local Harley community, growing to become a community initiative which has at its heart the wellbeing of underprivileged children. A warm blanket to snuggle under is a great source of comfort to a young person during the cold winter months.
