Tania Theron is the Purely Local’s West Coast Editor.  Not only that, she is a passionate individual who seeks to help others grow while on her own journey of growth. Whilst finding out more about Purely  Local, we got Tania to answer a few questions too in order to find out what her SPICE4LIFE is …

What is your SPICE4LIFE? That thing that you live for? That you are passionate about? That excites and motivates you?
Writing excites me. I love tapping into the community and other people’s lives and really change lives with words. Communication is powerful and can change the world.

My SPICE4LIFE, the thing that I love to do, share, be…
is to read and write.

I was inspired to do what I do because …
I want to tell stories that inspire people.

I define success as follows …
being excited to get out of bed in the mornings and to be grateful.

My main contribution to the business is …
being 100% hands-on, doing almost everything for the Purely Local West Coast brand.

My best “switch-off” strategy is …
to read whilst lounging in nature.

The leadership qualities I most admire are …
humility, patience and gratitude.

The thing that gets me through the tough times….
speaking to those close to me.

My life’s motto is …
’Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself.’

The thing I wish for the most is …
that the world would be calmer and less violent.

Do you consider yourself a superhero? Why/Why not?
I think that everyone is a superhero to someone. You have the ability to really be someone’s hero if you just step out and step up for someone when they need you. Give of yourself and the favour will be returned.

Well, we think that you MARVEL-lous! So….

If you could choose one person to call on when ‘in battle’, who would it be?
I would like to say God. If I have to choose a person, I would have to say my group of close family and friends as their support can give me superpowers.

What was the toughest battle you ever had to over come?
I think you face a new battle every few years. What seems like a trivial challenge to someone else could be your greatest battle. I must say that when my loved ones are in pain and I have to try to be there for them, it can be a terrible battle as you feel powerless yet want to be there for them 100%.

When did you officially become a hero… when was your big break?
I think it is more about the chances you are given in life. Purely Local was a gift to me as I can now really use it to inspire and help other people.

What does your super suit look like?
A pencil skirt and heels or a good dress

What is your secret weapon that you save to help you against only the toughest of villains?
Words. You can really do so much just by looking someone in the eye and speaking to them. You can change someone’s mindset completely.

If there was only one place in the world you could save, where would it be?
Any place where all the people I love would be safe.

What do you do when you are not saving the world?
I spend quality time with the people I love and I spend a lot of time with my nose in a good book.

If we had to repay you for saving the world, how would we celebrate?
We would wine and dine on the best food and wine in the most beautiful setting in nature. It is the small things in life.

What is your ultimate superpower?
I think it is just the ability to place myself in someone else’s shoes.

What is the “thing” that you think we need in order to save the world?
Patience and humility.

My superhero mantra is…
“It is not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me”
