Sue Smid – Head Of English, Parklands Senior Faculty ON A PROFESSIONAL NOTE A normal day in my life : Quiet time @ 6:00; then rise and shine – breakfast, kitchen, hubby, dog, lunch for Callaboy – off to school – teach and tutorials till 15.00 – then extra murals /watching son play sport/prepping till 17.00; shopping and off home – homework time and then supper and hubby time; bed and book/prepping time by 23:00ish The special interests in my area of business/expertise are: Teaching English; coordinating awards events; head of Reporters; collating newsletter articles; reaching out to those in need – albeit emotionally or otherwise… What I love most about my field of interest is: I work with God’s most special creations – children Some of the defining moments in my career have been: when any of my learners thank me for being there for them… YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL My family – Married to Mark for 29 years! – 3 children: Ché – 23; Räyn 20; Cal – 12. Mentorship is important to me because I learn can learn something new and become wiser every day I believe support/giving back to the community is important because I care.
