The 5th edition of everyone’s favourite street party is back!

The Fete De La Musique returns once again this winter to warm the streets of the Newtown Junction precinct and bring you a full day of some of the best entertainment South Africa has to offer.

With six outdoor stages that include the Pic Nic stage, Bassline stage, News Café stage, Kippies stage and the Capello stage, the Fete brings Newtown to life once more with great food, arts, crafts, dance, kids activities and of course, some of the best musical acts that this event has become famous for showcasing – all for free!

This year again, organisers have not only hand picked some of SA’s best acts, but also reached further abroad to secure French jazz musician Daniel Mille, Reunion Island’s Zanmari Bare, electronic duo Jess and Crabbe from France and Vaudou Game, the Afro-funk rock sensation from France, lead by Peter Solo from Togo.

The powerful South African line-up once again provides eclectic diversity in the choice of established and up and coming acts.  The nationwide line up includes Blk Jks, Bombshelter Beast, Ndyebo, Academie, Urban Village, Guy Buttery, Unity Band, Morayks, Watching Over Africa, FingerPrint5, Mapumba Cilombo, Black South Easter, Ben Dey and the Concrete Lions, Hellen Dikobe, Iphupho L’ka Biko, Kevin And The Love World, Kinsmen, Nono Nkoane, UJU and many more.

Clear your calendar for the 18th June and make sure you don’t miss this celebration of music, dance and street performance that keeps on uniting Joburg year after year.

Once again the festivities are completely FREE to the public and comprehensive security and safe parking will be available at Newtown Junction. The full programme will be made available on and on
