The super charged Wintermusement programme at Sun City during the July school holidays wrapped up with an explosion of giggles and cuddles when the Minions – Kevin, Stuart and Bob – ended their nationwide tour at the resort. Young fans showed up in their droves to meet the loveable characters and have their pictures taken with them.

Throughout the holidays, there was a spectacular line-up of comedy shows, concerts, and thrilling activities for children. Some of the highlights of the holiday “Wintermusement” programme included the much-anticipated MTN Joyous Celebration; a show by Elvis se Seun and Irene-Louis van Wyk; comedy and satire with South Africa’s infamous puppet Chester Missing and comedian Conrad Koch, and hypnotizing laughter with Troye the Hypnotist.

As always, children visiting the resort were spoiled for choice, with an exciting array of activities to participate in such as water sports at Water World near the Cabanas Hotel, water rides at the Valley of Waves, and supervised workshops at Kamp Kwena. Kamp Kwena hosts two sessions of supervised activities daily for little ones. The programme varies and includes visits to the crocodile farm, musical games, arts and crafts, story- telling, adventures at the Lost CityMaze, bumper boats, safaris with Mankwe Gametrackers and much more.

Sun City also celebrated the opening of a new Mediterranean restaurant, Bocado, at the five-star Cascades Hotel. The opening of the restaurant is part of a multi-million rand upgrade of the resort.
