THE ONE NIGHT STANDS COMEDY FESTIVAL The One Night Stands Comedy Festival taking place from 30 July to 10 August 2019 at the Theatre on the Square in Sandton, has now extended its lineup. In addition to the 10 performances across the 10 night nights, three exciting new acts have been added for your enjoyment pleasure. Carl Ncube, Nina Hastie and Mojak Lehoko have joined this diverse and exciting lineup, but no need to add a new date to your diary, they’re performing alongside other acts on the 3rd and the 9th of August. Mojak Lehoko will be performing at 18:00 on the 3rd of August and Nina Hastie on the same night at 21:30. Carl Ncube will be sliding onto the stage from across the border on the 9th of August at 18:00 with a set showing off why he’s named The Biggest Zimbabwean Stand Up Comedian In the world. He also tells the stories of South African artists and personalities in a comedic fashion. Nina Hastie Have you ever felt like we should have been born with a handbook? Well, Nina Hastie explores what its like to stumble through democracy managing to offend everyone with good intentions in her show entitled Thuma Nina – a story of how Nina knows nothing about life. Carl Ncube The Biggest Zimbabwean Stand Up Comedian In the world investigates what it takes to live in a country with words like Robert Mugabe Soft Coup Inflation Zim Dollar. Carl Ncube has used humour as a tool to poke fun, ever so carefully, at the Zimbabwean government.
