Rhodes, the brand known for quality, convenience and innovation, is proud to announce exciting additions to its canned pulses range, all available in convenient easy to open 400g cans. The new Rhodes pulses are: Butter Beans in Tomato Sauce, Black Beans, Three Bean Mix, Soup Bean Mix and specialty Haricot Beans.
The new products join existing household favourites in the Rhodes pulses range: Chick Peas, Sugar Beans, Butter Beans, Butter Beans Curry, Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce, Baked Beans in Braai Sauce and Processed Peas.
“We are excited to extend our canned pulses range with products that offer consumers excellent value for money. We are sure that South Africans will be delighted by the newness, which will add even more versatility and taste to meal times,” says Richard Phillips, Commercial Director at Rhodes Food Group.
Phillips says that Rhodes is known to be abreast of consumer trends. It is no surprise then that the range has been launched during 2016, which has been declared the International Year of Pulses by the United Nations. The aim of the campaign is to heighten public awareness of the nutritional benefits of pulses, as well as the important role that they play in sustainable food production and healthy diets. The campaign notes that pulses are excellent sources of protein.
The delicious new Rhodes range of pulses can be used in salads, stews, wraps and soups and can even be consumed as is, straight from the can. With a longer shelf life, the entire range can be kept in the cupboard and used as required. To add even more convenience to the range, the bean products require no soaking, making meal preparation a breeze.
To illustrate Rhodes’ commitment to great quality products, the Rhodes Haricot Beans in Brine is a first in South Africa while the Black Beans in Brine is the first locally produced canned black bean product, completing the healthy, versatile and delicious range.
The canned pulses range is available at all major retailers and wholesalers.
