Water is the most important carrier of energy as the body creates energy from the hydrogen and oxygen that makes up water. 3. We should consume 25ml/kg body weight, however a diet high in raw fruit and vegetables will help towards your water intake. 4. Lack of regular water intake can lead to tiredness and makes us susceptible to viral attacks due to dehydration. Why? This is because water is the main ingredient for cells activities and dehydration can take several months to replenish. Dry lips are an indication of dehydration. If you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated. 5. The brain suffers most due to lack of water. 6. Water-soluble B-vitamins are produced by the flora in the digestive tract in direct relation to the quantity and quality of water consumed. 7. Because water is the main ingredient for cells activities it is vital for detoxification as the main solvent for the uptake and elimination of toxins.
