1.    The body is made up of about 70% water and everything your body does, it needs water to do it.

2.    Water is the most important carrier of energy as the body creates energy from the hydrogen and oxygen that makes up water.
3.    We should consume 25ml/kg body weight, however a diet high in raw fruit and vegetables will help towards your water intake.
4.    Lack of regular water intake can lead to tiredness and makes us susceptible to viral attacks due to dehydration. Why? This is because water is the main ingredient for cells activities and dehydration can take several months to replenish. Dry lips are an indication of dehydration. If you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated.
5.    The brain suffers most due to lack of water.
6.    Water-soluble B-vitamins are produced by the flora in the digestive tract in direct relation to the quantity and quality of water consumed.

7.    Because water is the main ingredient for cells activities it is vital for detoxification as the main solvent for the uptake and elimination of toxins. If the body does not regularly rid itself of toxins it will not be able to heal itself.
8.    Water holds nutrients in solution and acts as the transport medium for the nutrients across the body
9.    Never consume water or any beverage with food as this dilutes the digestive enzymes and proper digestion will not take place, leaving food to putrefy in the colon, causing gas and bloating.
