JENNI BUTTON AND INTERNATIONAL ARTIST PAUL DU TOIT COLLABORATE TO CREATE SOCIAL CHANGE FOR WOMEN
Exclusive South African luxury women’s wear label, Jenni Button, and renowned international artist Paul du Toit are proud to announce their collaboration and support of the Rock Girl initiative. An exclusive limited edition tank is the result of this collaboration with profits being donated to the Rock Girl initiative.
Rock Girl seeks to reduce violence against women and girls through the creation of safe spaces. Originally inspired by a group of Grade 7 students from Mannenberg, the Rock Girl’s ‘safe spaces’ allows for women and girls to gain the self-confidence and skills needed to become agents of social change in their own lives. South Africa has one of the highest incidences of rape and sexual violence on the continent. Two out of every five rape victims are girls under the age of 17. Aptly put by Rock Girl CEO, India Baird: “Beautiful spaces can create social change, and social change can create beautiful spaces. The collaboration with the creative community is a genuine way to show support for women and girls facing violence in their lives every day.”
Creative Director, Warrick Gautier says, “Jenni Button as a brand represents strong, independent women who support young women and girls in building a bright future for themselves and empowering themselves. We are proud to make a difference in such a powerful way”. Jenni Button will donate 100% of the profits to Rock Girl.
There will be an opportunity to join the initiative in supporting young women and girls in building a bright and empowering future for women in South Africa, by supporting sales of the Jenni Button ‘Rock Girl’ limited edition tanks. A limited number is currently on sale at selected Jenni Button stores.
The models hair for the celeb campaign photo-shoot was done by Carlton Hair International in Hyde Park Centre, make-up by Kohl make-up academy, and the photographer was Natalie Field.
