You know two people are meant to be together when their personalities draw out the absolute best in each other… and it’s just the same when it comes to drinks. Each of Flowstone Gin’s varietals have distinct, intricate flavours and personalities, and when thoughtfully paired with the correct tonic, a harmony of flavour blooms.
When working with Flowstone’s warm and earthy Bushwillow Gin, it’s best to use a traditional Indian Tonic. The complex flavours of the gin pair beautifully with the herbal bitterness of the tonic. Add ice (of course) and garnish with a slice of pineapple.
Flowstone’s Marula Gin is slightly feistier – it has a tangy marula and citrus flavour (with just a kick of spice) and works amazingly with simple soda water, bringing out the pure Marula essence of the gin. Finish it off with ice and an orange slice to garnish.
For Flowstone’s Wild Cucumber, the floral notes of a good pink tonic works wonders to compliment the refreshing green and herbaceous flavours of this gin. Add plenty of ice and give it that final touch with a slice of cucumber – it can’t be beaten.
Snuffbox has big, warm and spicy flavours with gentle malty notes and a wonderful array of soft African exotica. Try it neat over ice, with just a dash of soda to finish it off. This may not be your classic G&T but the Snuffbox gin is smooth and intriguing enough to stand on its own.
So treat you and your significant other by trying out these spectacular gin pairings. We’re gin it together!
