We are thrilled to announce the launch of our ‘Family & Fine Wine Feast Series’ with Chapter 1: Fynbos on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Join us for an unforgettable family-friendly event filled with fun, exceptional food, and fine wine!
About the Series
Our Family & Fine Wine Feasts will take place in April, July, October, and December, each with a unique theme designed to bring families and friends together for fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments. This is your chance to indulge in fine dining within a relaxed, family-friendly setting in the beautiful Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. And yes, children are welcome – this is a true family affair!
Chapter 1: Fynbos event details

Location: Hasher Family Wine Farm, Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley
Cost: R850 per adult, R350 per child (Age group: Children over 5 or able to walk independently for 30 minutes)

The Schedule
4:00 PM – Arrival and Activities Begin
For the Children:
- Walking safari through the vineyard, exploring the fynbos, and foraging for seasonal ingredients.
- Guided by our knowledgeable staff, children will discover the wonders of the Cape Floral Kingdom and then help prepare dinner.
For the Adults:
- Unwind with a glass of our crisp Sauvignon Blanc.
- Enjoy an intimate wine-tasting experience led by co-owner Frederik and winemaker Natasha Williams. Explore the nuances of our premium cool-climate wines.
6:00 PM – Family Feast in the Cellar
As the sun sets, gather inside our cosy, candlelit cellar. Adults and children will share a beautifully decorated table and enjoy a mouth-watering menu created by Chef Ricky Broekhoven. Children will dine on the same dishes as their parents, making for a truly inclusive fine dining experience that celebrates seasonal flavours and the joy of eating together.
