Join us at Benguela Cove Wine Estate on 29 March 2025, from 12:00 to 15:00, for the inaugural “Cellar Stories” event. This exclusive tasting, held in our Tasting Room, offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of our winemaking philosophy. For R350 per person, you’ll experience a curated selection of our finest Sauvignon Blancs, and hear the stories that shaped them.
Unveiling the Wild Vine: Sauvignon Blanc
Our theme for the first series is Sauvignon Blanc. Fun Fact, “Sauvignon” is derived from two French words: Sauvage (“wild”) and vigne (“vine”). Sauvignon Blanc is a vigorous (wild) growing plant, and the shape of its leaves are similar to those of wild grapevines.
This is your opportunity to discover how we tame this wild vine of ours. The line-up includes:
- Cuvée58, a Sauvignon Blanc based Cap Classique
- Lighthouse Sauvignon Blanc 2024
- Benguela Cove Sauvignon Blanc 2023
- Vinography Sauvignon Blanc 2023
- Benguela Cove Noble Late Harvest 2020, a precious sold-out wine. Listen closely for a cellar secret of a possible 2025 vintage.
You might be spoiled by our 2025 young wines for interest and twist the arm of our wine team to open an older vintage from the library.
Expect a relaxed, informative atmosphere, where you can engage directly with our winemakers and learn the secrets behind each bottle.
This event is designed for wine enthusiasts eager to deepen their understanding of Sauvignon Blanc and our estate. With limited availability, we recommend booking promptly to avoid disappointment.
