TOKARA aced Top 10 scores for all five wines entered in respective Winemag wine reports this year, showing great consistency across their entire wine offering.
Perfecting the full house with top honours in the 2020 Prescient Chardonnay Report, the Reserve Collection Chardonnay 2019 joins the Top 10 ranks of TOKARA’s Director’s Reserve White, Director’s Reserve Red, the Reserve Collection Cabernet Sauvignon, and Reserve Collection Syrah, all from the standout 2017 vintage.
TOKARA Reserve Collection Chardonnay 2019 is a wine of restrained power and finesse crafted by winemaker Stuart Botha from 100% Chardonnay grapes from TOKARA’s Stellenbosch vineyards.
The wine is described by the Chardonnay Report tasting panel as having ‘a super-complex nose’. The rich and intensely flavoured palate is held to be ‘powerful without sacrificing intricacy’ possessing ‘a lovely line of acidity’ with a ‘long and saline’ finish.
