Winter looks good on you
Ackermans, South Africa’s leading value fashion retailer, unveiled Winter 2026 on 9 April in Johannesburg.
Hosted by Glamour South Africa Editor-in-Chief Nontando Mposo, the event brought together media, influencers and local content creators for an immersive brand experience, including Mogale Mohale, Gaisang Keaikitse Noge, Happy Simelane, Lisa Mthembu, Ruvesh Pillay, and Ackermans’ Summer A.Listers, Tansey Coetzee, Dineo Lioma, Ntando Duma, and Olwethu Leshabane. The evening featured a runway show showcasing winter across kids, teens, men and women, alongside gallery-style displays and installations, and a curated styling masterclass, offering guests a first-hand look at how Ackermans is bringing value to life this winter.
The showcase brought Winter looks good on you to life, celebrating personal style, everyday value and the moments that make winter dressing feel effortless, expressive and warm.

On the runway, Ackermans showcased winter across key categories including kids, teens, women and men. Each segment reflected how the brand shows up for the whole family, with styling that brought texture, layering and versatility to life across knitwear, fleece, denim and outerwear. From easy everyday dressing for kids to more elevated styling for women and men, the runway showed how winter can be worn in ways that feel both practical and polished.
Beyond the runway, the full winter offering extends to babies and toddlers, ensuring that every stage of childhood is considered with the same focus on comfort, quality and thoughtful design.
At Ackermans, the season is anchored in easy winter dressing, with key pieces across knitwear, denim and outerwear. In women’s especially, the season also leans into trench coats, boots and faux leather, while for kids, winter is brought to life through character wear, soft fleece and thoughtfully designed essentials, with a strong focus on comfort, durability and charm.

Layering takes on a new role this season, not just for warmth, but as a styling tool. From denim-on-denim to argyle knits and that must-have timeless trench, customers are encouraged to take winter basics and wear them their way, whether that feels cosy, elevated, chic or bold.
“This season, we continue to show up for our customers with fashion that feels considered, accessible and relevant to the way they live and dress,” says Bronwyn Pretorius, Chief Marketing Officer at Ackermans. “We are focused on delivering fashion that feels current, inclusive and easy to make their own, without compromising on value. As a brand trusted by millions of South African families, we are proud to bring together style, quality and affordability across every category, bringing value to life in everything we do.”
Shaz Abass, Chief Executive of Product at Ackermans, adds: “This season was shaped around making winter dressing easier and more versatile for the whole family. By focusing on elevated essentials and thoughtful design, we’ve created pieces that can be styled in different ways and work across a range of everyday moments. The focus was on making it simpler for our customers to build outfits that feel put together, comfortable and relevant, while still delivering on value.”
A highlight of the event was the introduction of Siyanda Bani, award-winning content creator, style icon and Ackermans’ A-List collaborator for the season. Known for her distinctive sense of style and effortless approach to dressing, Bani brings a fresh perspective to winter styling, showing customers how to take everyday pieces and make them their own.
Guests experienced this first-hand through a curated styling session led by Bani, offering a preview of how the season comes together through layering, texture and versatile pieces. The session gave practical inspiration on how to build outfits that feel personal, easy to wear and adaptable across different moments, reinforcing how Ackermans makes winter dressing simple, accessible and expressive for the whole family.
Guests were also invited to take part in a meaningful CSI moment during the evening by writing personalised notes to the kids from the TLC Children’s Centre. On their behalf, Ackermans will gift each child a winter warmer package, including a pair of winter shoes and a jacket, while babies will receive a fleece babygrow. The initiative reflects how Ackermans continues to bring value to life in ways that extend beyond fashion.
With its continued commitment to value, accessibility and style for every family, Ackermans shows that this season, winter looks good on you.
