This November’s First Thursdays welcomes Vault on Bree, a new space at the corner of Bree and Castle Street where Cape Town’s creative community can gather, share ideas, and grow together. Vault on Bree is a place for artists, designers, brands, and innovators to meet, collaborate, and explore new ways of expression. It’s been thoughtfully designed to encourage conversation, connection, and creativity, with the hope of nurturing a stronger sense of community in the city.
In partnership with Phil Kramer, the sound designer behind the system at One Park, the space includes a listening bar that puts music and atmosphere at its heart. Listening bars are intimate spaces dedicated to high-quality sound, inviting people to slow down, pay attention, and experience music in a deeper, more intentional way.
G-Star is the first brand to activate within Vault On Bree, opening the space with a two-month denim installation that celebrates craftsmanship, innovation, and street culture. The launch event brought together a mix of voices and talents, including Wanda Lephoto, who shared a live DJ set that reflects his unique storytelling approach. Guests such as Lukhanyo Mdingi and Molife of GQ joined the celebration, highlighting the shared energy that drives Cape Town’s creative scene.
The Vault on Bree is a space that’s meant to evolve. Over time, it will host new exhibitions, activations, and collaborations that reflect the city’s creative pulse. It’s a place that keeps finding new ways to connect and inspire.
