Landman
Landman begins 22 February at 20:00 on kykNET (DStv channel 144) and will also be available on DStv Stream and Catch Up. The series has an age restriction of 16.
It has been one of the most popular drama series worldwide since 2024, and on 22 February Landman also makes its bow on kykNET – in Afrikaans.
Landman is set in the western part of the US state of Texas and tells the interwoven story of a group of people – from the billionaires to the oilfield workers – whose lives revolve around oil. But Landman does not only focus on landowners and wealthy oil magnates. Western Texas borders Mexico, which means the area is also used by drug cartels as a distribution route.

Ivanka comes to visit and decides to support someone going through a tough time. While Ella and Henry encounter a few potholes in their relationship, she and Johan are moving closer together. Annetjie shares bad news with Bonnie and her flatmates, and Hannah must first process sad news before she can experience joy again.
Petro’s friends step in to help her realise a dream she cherishes, and At makes an important announcement. A Binneland doctor and nurse become romantically involved, and Ella discovers something that has the potential to change her life irrevocably. Zaan Sonnekus performs in Doepa. A stranger begins asking questions about Yvonne, and Nicolette and Uys are forced to isolate together after a crisis.
Diepe waters
Mondays to Thursdays at 18:30 on kykNET (DStv channel 144)
Tension runs high in Boskruin as things between Hannelie and Sam reach breaking point, and Gys must try to put out various professional and personal fires. While Pam and Zelda come up with brilliant plans to give their campaigns a boost, Gys must think on his feet to do damage control. Meanwhile, the Viljoen children wonder if Schalk’s sudden desire to change is genuine.
Siseko receives shocking news and confronts Vuyelwa about her manipulative schemes, pushing his relationship with Pam to the limit. While the media closes in on Liam and a new athlete joins the Swartmarlyne, difficult choices between loyalty and self-preservation must be made.
Viewers can look forward to major announcements from the Viljoen Five and from Leandri that will permanently change the status quo. With Rene keeping a watchful eye on Liam and the Viljoens desperately hoping the bad times are over, events in the park take an unforeseen turn that nobody could have predicted. Who will be left standing with Schalk’s influence gathering over Boskruin like a growing dark cloud?

February kicks off with high drama in Ruiterbosch as Nazeem’s underhand election campaign begins to gain momentum. He plays dirty by sabotaging Siya during a public debate and later even manipulates a sea rescue attempt to make himself look like a hero. Zoe begins to see the truth and wants to expose Nazeem, but he stays one step ahead and proves too slippery. Will Siya become the victim of Nazeem’s devious games?
Meanwhile, Angie grapples with the aftermath of her traumatic relationship with Tristan. To make matters worse, Tristan does something that properly shakes the residents of Ruiterbosch. Susan and Elana are confronted with difficult choices about a potential new life in the Bushveld, but Linda’s shocking revelation changes everything.
Kate’s nostalgic treasure hunt makes her realise how rich her life truly is. The Samsodiens face a new test when Rhafiek begins to fear that something is seriously wrong with his health. By the end of the month, new relationships unfold, but old wounds are also reopened.

In February, tension in Gemoedsdrif reaches new heights, with Meryl, Ruan and Christine at the centre of the drama. Meryl’s behaviour begins to create conflict, especially at the Bistro and in her role as Wayne’s personal assistant. Her actions upset the residents and stir tension within the community. Christine, meanwhile, finds herself under pressure from crises and attacks against the Louws, but she refuses to back down and is determined to develop new strategies. Her resolve against the Louws shows she is not one to give up easily.
Ruan’s investigation takes a new turn when he travels to Cape Town to track down Vlek. He faces major hurdles but also experiences moments of hope. By mid-month, tension escalates when it transpires that someone is keeping an eye on him and Vlek’s influence stretches all the way to Gemoedsdrif. By the end of February, Ruan brings the hostage situation to a close, but the events leave everyone, especially Lily, deeply shaken.
Meanwhile, Christine’s new plans against the Louws come to fruition, showing her determination and creativity. Meryl’s role and interactions bring conflicts to a head, and she must now navigate her position within the community. The residents of Gemoedsdrif are continually tested, and February proves that the town will not stay quiet – every action taken by Meryl, Ruan and Christine has consequences that further complicate the dynamics of the town.

But he is also a musician, philosopher, father and grandfather. Frankie Opperman meets his father, the actor Frank Opperman, in Cape Town. He finds out more about his father’s life in Woodstock, and they and a few actor friends spend a day together on the set of a new series.
25 February
The two Franks embark on a journey from Cape Town to Johannesburg. They visit several of Frank’s friends and colleagues in places like Worcester, Hermanus and Klaarstroom, and travel on to the obscure Oppermansdorp.
