DRAGMOTHER is a Cape Town-based DJ, performer, and the founder of Cape Town’s most prolific queer nightlife event, The Death Of Glitter. Her music sits at the collision of punk, pop, queer art, and underground nightlife. Her sets are disruptive and cathartic, marked by high energy and an unapologetic embrace of chaos, sex, and play.
Drawing from pop divas, queer culture, club kid history, and the gritty edges of fashion, DRAGMOTHER creates sonic spaces that feel like earthquakes on the dancefloor – raw, glamorous, and impossible to ignore.
Her aesthetic is equally layered: goth romanticism collides with punk rebellion, while high fashion merges with trash glamour. In performance, she thrives in contradiction – somewhere between refined and dangerous, theatrical and raw. Always present at 2 a.m., suspended in fog and flash, her world exists at the heart of club culture, where noise, beauty, and bodies in motion fuse into one.
