Get ready for a season of thrilling adventure at Canal Walk! The ever-popular Canal Walk Holiday Ice Slides, inspired by Disney, are back from 6 December 2024 to 12 January 2025, bringing the magic of tropical islands, oceanic landscapes, and captivating play inspired by the release of Moana 2 to the heart of Cape Town. This year’s theme promises an exciting escape into the world of exploration and island magic – an ideal backdrop for families to enjoy ice slides, sand play, and immersive photo opportunities.
Releasing nationwide from 29 November, the animated adventure Moana 2 sees Moana, after receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, journeying alongside Maui and a new crew to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
As families anticipate the new cinema event, Canal Walk’s Holiday Ice Slides set the stage for an unforgettable holiday experience. In partnership with PEP, this adventure invites children of all ages to discover the magic of Disney with thrilling slides, imaginative play areas, and a chance to create their own island memories.

Times: 10am – 8 pm, with 45-minute sessions starting each hour

● Mini Rider (Under 5s): R50 – Includes access to the mini slide, sand play, and photo opportunities
● Mini Rider + (Ages 3-5): R80 – Includes access to the double slide, sand play, and photo opportunities
● Non-Rider (Accompanying Adult): R35
● Full Package: R360 – Includes 3 Full Riders plus one Non-Rider
● Mini Package: R150 – Includes 3 Mini Riders plus one Non-Rider
Special Early Bird Rates:
Book between 18 November and 2 December for the Full Rider Early Bird Ticket at only R100 per rider.

● Disney Charity Tree: Visit the giant Christmas tree adorned with Moana2 plush toys and contribute to Reach for a Dream by donating from 15 November 2024 to 10 January 2025 in the Canal Walk Food Court. In association with PEP, FNB and Toys R Us
● Photos with Santa: Create everlasting memories with family photos with a Summer Santa from December 6 to 24, starting at R50.
● Festive Gift Wrapping: Support a noble cause by having your gifts beautifully wrapped at the lower-level desks outside Checkers and Pick n Pay from December 6 onwards. All profits will be donated to charity
