On arrival, guests are invited to enjoy the sunset views across the vineyards with a glass of Brookdale Mason Road wine and delicious bites of Beef tataki; Smoked snoek paté on crostini; and Onion tarte tatin with cashew nut cheese. Executive chef Gary Coetzee and his kitchen brigade will then invite diners to their table, to be spoiled with a first course of Scottish salmon, salmon roe and Thai curry yuzu dressing; followed by Butter poached crayfish tail, cauliflower, vanilla and lime risotto and Pernod foam. Two main courses follow, of Ballantine of quail, corn and bacon and citrus jus gras; and 65 Degree lamb rump served with root vegetable gratin, pea purée, broccolini and whiskey and mint jus. The feast will end on a decadent note with 14-Carat gold chocolate gateaux with salted caramel gelato; and Petit Fours.
Revellers will be entertained by Donné Violinist who will perform music from a wide variety of genres throughout the evening. She is well-known for her versatile technique, mastering the electric violin to perform electronic dance music and house tracks, as well as current hits. As the countdown continues to midnight and the excitement mounts, corks will pop when Brookdale’s limited release Mason Road Cap Classique will be poured as the perfect glass of bubbles to toast the new year in style.
