Spend Father’s Day Weekend with Food Alchemist Peter Goffe-Wood
Author, Celebrity Chef and Food Alchemist Peter Goffe-Wood has partnered with the newly launched immersive glamping experience Canvas Collective Africa for a once-in-a-life-time Fathers’ Day weekend in Botrivier.
If you’re looking for something unusual to do and your dad loves the outdoors, spoil him with an experience that promises to be the ultimate in luxury, relaxation and five-star food.
Canvas Collective Africa is an immersive luxury field glamping experience, created for the discerning glamper who appreciates ultimate luxury, excellent cuisine in beautiful country locations – moving throughout the year to some of the Western Cape’s most beautiful areas.
The Father’s Day weekend is the perfect getaway for the entire family, added to this, Peter will bring to it delicious food, and an interactive cooking experience with his signature braai style.
“Cooking over open flames is the one thing that is common to all – gathering for food & friendship around the fire is where we all began,” says Peter Goffe-Wood. “I am really looking forward to hosting dads with their families on a weekend that is sure to impress.”
He continues: “I’ve been blessed to have cooked around the globe, and what it has taught me is that we live in one of the most beautiful countries, yet we don’t spend enough time exploring our own backyard. Now can we not only explore that beauty, but do so in a manner that is not only luxurious but in close contact with this abundant treasure. I look forward to entertaining guests for Fathers’ Day weekend, sharing my food as well as stories of my own travels & experiences.”
The tents sleep two and includes ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, and fancy flushing toilets. The bedroom area is equipped with a top-quality king-size bed complete with exquisite linen and cosy warm blankets. The living area is roomy with handcrafted contemporary furniture, luxurious rugs, and freestanding lamps. Other creature comforts include mini bars, Nespresso machines and butler service.
