What’s on at New Orleans Cocktail Bar & Grill?

André the hilarious hypnotist, Carnival City, 04 – 06 February 2025

Stage hypnosis in South Africa is closely associated with André, the hilarious hypnotist. For more than two decades, André has entertained audiences across the country with his comedic shows, and he is set to perform at the New Orleans Cocktail Bar & Grill at Carnival City from 04 to 06 February 2025.

If you’re brave enough for a bit of fun, consider volunteering to experience hypnosis first-hand. For those who prefer not to volunteer, you can sit back and enjoy the antics of those who have been hypnotised.

During the show, André will have volunteers engaging in a variety of entertaining activities. These may include “stealing” someone’s concept of their fifth finger, transforming them into washing machines and garden sprinkler systems, and changing the taste of an apple to that of an onion. Volunteers may also channel famous singers and perform as Steve Hofmeyr and Juanita du Plessis, among others.

All of these activities are done in the name of fun, with volunteers doing what they are told and following instructions (all the while in accordance with their moral values).
