WHAT’S ON? Let it glow at Glow Fest 2025

Magical light festival, Flamingo Casino, Friday to Sunday, 11 – 13 April 2025

After a successful debut at Central Square, Sandton, Johannesburg in 2023, Glow Fest 2025 is set to be even more spectacular, bringing a wealth of shining attractions to the city of Kimberley.

Visitors will be captivated by breathtaking displays, from vibrant light shows to cultural celebrations and stunning illuminated art. As dusk falls, the park will transform into a kaleidoscope of colours, featuring intricate installations and mesmerising projections that turn everyday spaces into enchanting realms.

This year’s themes – including wildlife, festive displays, dance floors, prehistoric exhibits, and the Glow Village, complete with interactive lighting props – will highlight South Africa’s rich heritage and wildlife conservation, using the occasion to raise awareness about endangered species that need our protection.

With more than a million dazzling lights, the festival will create a magnificent wonderland. Attendees can look forward to life-sized lanterns representing various animals, including marine creatures and birds from around the world. Guests will have the unique opportunity to walk through a giant illuminated shark to enter the exhibition. The festival will also feature glowing statues of prehistoric dinosaurs, majestic lions, zebras, giraffes, polar bears, camels, kangaroos, and more.

Ticket options:

Early bird prices are in effect until Thursday, 10 April 2025, with each level – Silver, Gold, Diamonds, Platinum – offering different option combinations. These are:

·       Section A: Enchanted Wonderland, an array of oversized illuminated props and festive photo opportunities.

·       Section B: Stunning lanterns presenting a collection of life-sized animal lanterns from various regions around the globe.

·       Section C: Glow Village Interactive Photo Booth offering a dazzling array of Christmas lights, allowing visitors to capture memorable photos with their own cameras.

·       Section D: Glow Concert Dance – an extraordinary 30- to 45-minute live dance and music performance by the Glow Fest Dancers, showcasing unique LED-themed costumes inspired by butterflies, creatures, and astronomy, watch as they captivate the audience with a blend of various dance styles, including freestyle and Afrofusion.
