An Ethereal Exploration of Nature by Zoë Chowney
Step into Imagined Landscapes at Benguela Cove Art Gallery, where the beauty of South Africa’s diverse ecosystems is brought to life through a multi-disciplinary exploration of the natural world by Zoe Chowney.
This exhibition blends art jewelry, sculpture, painting, and drawing to explore nature’s complexity. Inspired by South Africa’s ecosystems, it merges abstract realism with biomorphic forms, evoking imagined worlds that invite viewers to reflect on the intricate beauty of nature from a unique, intimate perspective.
Open for viewing and sales everyday: 10:00 – 18:00. At the Benguela Cove Art Gallery and Tasting room.
About the Artist: Zoë Chowney
Zoë is a multi-disciplinary creative artist and designer, known for her original paintings, sculptures, and unique jewellery pieces. She holds a bachelor’s degree in creative Jewellery and Metal Design BA (VA) and a master’s degree in Jewellery Design MA (VA) from Stellenbosch University. Zoë draws inspiration for her artistic practice from the natural world, her personal experiences, and the depths of her imagination. Her work is bold, delicate, and innovative, with strong imagery that reflects organic shapes, particularly the micro bio-structures of plants.

Join us for the opening of Zoe Chowney’s Art Exhibition on Saturday 3 May 2025, from 15:00pm.
The Art Gallery at Benguela Cove adds to the truly unique experience that we strive to offer our guests. The walls of the Estate are adorned with art from many of South Africa’s famous and up and coming artists. Owner, Penny Streeter OBE, loves the way art brings a room to life and is particularly interested in contemporary art and sculpture.
