Cape Town’s Queen’s Lounge has announced updates to its schedule and offerings for the coming season. Known for its intimate atmosphere and creatively curated drinks, the lounge is reintroducing live jazz nights, extending trading hours, and continuing to host private and corporate events.
The Queen’s Lounge is more than a cocktail bar, it’s become a stage for the city’s cultural rhythm and a venue for creative collaboration, where music, conversation, and community converge.
Live jazz performances return on selected Wednesdays from 8 pm to 10:30 pm, featuring musicians from Cape Town alongside artists from across South Africa. Queen’s Lounge welcomes the season with Classic South African Jazz and Moonshine Live during the month of February, on selected Wednesdays. The live jazz lineups are on our instagram or at queenslounge.co.za; and tickets are available on webtickets start at R200, with student tickets available at R100. The program reflects Queen’s Lounge’s ongoing commitment to highlighting the city’s vibrant jazz culture. By reviving jazz nights, Queen’s Lounge is not only enhancing its own offerings but also contributing to Cape Town’s broader cultural identity.
These midweek evenings are designed to foster connection, while audiences enjoy live music in a relaxed setting that encourages conversation and networking. By combining curated programming with a welcoming atmosphere, Queen’s Lounge continues to link visitors to Cape Town’s broader cultural scene.
For the summer and autumn seasons, Saturday hours have been extended from 2 pm to 11 pm, allowing guests to enjoy the venue earlier in the day while retaining its evening service. Happy hours are also introduced from 4-6 pm between Thursday and Fridays. Regular trading hours on Thursdays and Fridays remain unchanged, from 4 pm to 11 pm. The extended hours and curated music programming provide more opportunities for visitors to experience the venue’s distinctive blend of heritage and modernity.
Signature cocktails highlight the creativity of the lounge’s bartenders, who blend timeless classics with inventive twists. Every pour is made with purpose, and every cocktail tells a story, making Queen’s Lounge a destination for connoisseurs and casual visitors alike.
Beyond its weekly schedule, Queen’s Lounge remains available for conferences, private functions, and corporate events. With heritage architecture paired with modern amenities, including boardrooms, presentation spaces, and social lounges, the venue offers a distinctive setting for gatherings and conferences.
Its central location, convenient parking, and uninterrupted power supply further position Queen’s Lounge as a versatile space for creativity, productivity, and celebration, making it a practical choice for organisers seeking both style and reliability. The combination of heritage architecture and modern amenities ensures that every event is infused with character and creativity.
