Elevating linens from functional to exceptional, Starch Living brings timeless Italian luxury into South African spaces
Luxury once reserved for five-star suites and private yachts has arrived in South Africa. With the debut of Starch Living, design savvy homeowners with a taste for the exceptional can now bring home linens that meet the highest global standards of elegance, comfort and craftsmanship.
Founded by Bonnie Stanley, founder of hospitality linen house Heavenly Feather, Starch Living distils over two decades of experience curating luxury hotels and superyachts into a tactile, transportive collection for the home. This is slow luxury, designed for those who value understatement, provenance, and detail.
“At Starch Living, we believe your linens should stand with the best in the world and elevate your home experience,” says Bonnie. “Our aim was to create something timeless and honest, luxury that doesn’t shout, but is deeply felt. Every fibre, finish and fold are considered and perfected.”
The collection showcases long-staple Egyptian cotton spun to a silken finish, buttery sateens that soften with time, and crisp Normandy linen woven with enduring elegance finish, each piece beginning life in Europe’s most respected mills before being hand-finished in Johannesburg, a meeting of global heritage and South African refinement.
From signature bed and bath linens to tableware, robes and kaftans, each piece is made to elevate life’s quiet rituals. Designed to be layered, lived in and passed down, Starch Living encourages a new kind of investment dressing: one for the home.

Each item reflects the brand’s quiet commitment to quality and sustainability. Starch Living offers an edited collection of bed, bath and table linens, alongside complementary lifestyle pieces such as robes, kaftans, and accessories that complete the experience with timeless, beautiful products in a responsible and respectful way. We aim to inspire our community through meaningful design.
More than a design philosophy, Starch Living is grounded in conscious craftsmanship. The brand champions small-batch production and enduring design, promoting mindful consumption and reducing global freight emissions through local assembly. Every product is made to be loved, used and passed down – not replaced. Bonnie hopes to help you create a home that is so full of warmth, joy and character that you never want to leave.
With its South African debut, Starch Living invites customers to invest in timeless essentials, made to elevate daily rituals, designed to endure, and destined to be loved.
