There’s no need to hide and hibernate this winter, as Cape Town’s culinary scene warms up with the hottest in cuisine, culture, and ‘come on in’ moments as Time Out Market Cape Town unveils a line-up primed for the colder season.
Bringing together the city’s best chefs, boldest performers, and biggest sporting moments, all inside its 30,000 sq ft home at the V&A Waterfront, there is something for everyone this Winter. “We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone… Our chefs and vendors have been hard at work creating locally loved dishes that bring the warmth of the city into an inviting space during the months that particularly call for comforting food and a lively atmosphere,” says Russ Meyer, General Manager of Time Out Market Cape Town.
Whether visitors are in the mood for high-energy performances, delicious food and drinks, or simply soaking up the winter atmosphere, they’ve got something for everyone, and you’re invited!

The Winter Wine Series returns for another unforgettable season, bringing together exceptional wines, world-class chefs, and a vibrant community of wine lovers. In partnership with Time Out Market’s top chefs, guests will enjoy a curated journey of food and wine pairings designed to highlight the depth, flavour, and creativity of South Africa’s culinary scene. Expect premium wine tastings, signature dishes, live music, and a warm, social indoor experience.

Football season has officially arrived. Catch every World Cup moment live on big screens at the V&A Waterfront. Expect an electric atmosphere, incredible food from Cape Town’s top kitchens, ice-cold drinks, and all the action under one roof. Guests who download the Time Out Market app and sign up will receive a complimentary Stella Artois during selected matches. Walk-ins welcome, but arrive early for the best seats.

As part of our Youth Day celebration, experience the first of six curated ‘Market in a Market’ experiences spotlighting Cape Town’s culture, creativity, and cool. Expect high-end fashion, Cape Town coastline-inspired art, ambient vinyl sets, and cool craft from WAG, TGCG, Birds in Cape Town, Clink Essence, Janette Schleppes Designs, and Giselle Ingabire Creative. All ages welcome, with a dedicated Kids’ Creative Corner with Malavile, plus live painting, games tables, photo walls, food and beverage vouchers with craft purchases, and brand activations.

Welcome to Tuna Fight Club, an exclusive one-night-only culinary showdown where Cape Town’s award-winning chefs step into the arena, each presenting their boldest tuna-inspired creation.
Think Japanese Sushi Tuna versus African Street Tuna, Italian Tuna Pasta versus Greek Tuna Gyro, or Tuna Pizza versus Mexican Tuna Taco. Guests are given the chance to carve up and experience the giant blue marlin tuna on display – shared communally. With unlimited access to the tuna carving experience, signature tuna dishes from the competing chefs, a bottle of wine to share, ice-cold Stella Artois, and live music, this is the hottest event! Rule number one of Tuna Fight Club? Leave nothing behind.
