Thank you for adopting into our EcoChangeMakers movement, our #2030Impact mission; to take action and be a positive contributor to a #plasticfree planet. Your example of #responsibleleadership, leaders who #walkthetalk of #climateaction for #sustainability is an inspiring example and I believe our Madiba would be proud.
It may not always be the biggest steps that get taken, but they are taken. And every step, every ripple that gets started because of that action is what this world needs. Mandela said “It seems impossible until it’s done”
This bench is the first two of 100 EcoChangeMaker benches we will build across the Western Cape. This bench has repurposed 437 kg’s plastic and 270 kg’s tiles and planted 100 Spekboom trees.
It represents setting a new #Benchmark; making an immediate and measurable difference in the fight to free our planet and people from harmful plastics and take #ClimateAction
This bench has created wages, taught skills, mobilised volunteers, repurposed tonnes of waste into value and sequestered carbon from the air we breathe.
The world needs you, me, us; to take the immediate action needed, and with enough of us, we will have changed the course of history – even by a small degree.
