Let’s try something a little different, a yoghurt cake!! With a relatively small amount of ingredients, this cake won’t take long to make and will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth.
Yummy to enjoy as an afternoon treat with tea or coffee, or to take to your next gathering with friends or family as an after dinner desert.
Serves 8
Ingredients
175ml Clover Classic Plain Low Fat dairy snack
175ml sunflower oil
350ml sugar
525ml self-raising flour
1 egg
Pinch of salt
Glace icing
500ml icing sugar
10ml boiling water
2.5ml lemon juice
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C.
- Measure all ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric beater on medium speed for 3 minutes.
- Pour mixture into a greased ring tin.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the cake. Allow to cool slightly before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Top with glace icing or dust with icing sugar.
Glace icing
- Mix ingredients together.
- It should form a thick, but runny icing that can be poured over the cake.
