Tryn, Steenberg’s vibrant signature restaurant, has created two exciting new autumn cocktails in celebration of World Cocktail Day and extended the 2-for-1 cocktail hour from 4-6 PM on Thursdays to Saturdays.
With exciting creations artfully assembled by mixologists at Tryn’s ultra-stylish bar to enjoy in the modish retro-lounge or on the vineyard terrace, there’s a Tryn cocktail for every taste.
The new autumn cocktail tribute to World Cocktail Day marked annually on 13 May, the birthday of the very first cocktail created in New Orleans in 1806, is part of Tryn’s two cocktails for the price of one pre-dinner special until mid-June.
Autumn Apple and Pomegranate Punch are the new stars on the cocktail menu joining an array of refreshing wine spritzers and spirit cocktails blended with a variety of pure fruit purées.
The rum based Autumn Apple is a spicy mix of apple, cinnamon, cloves, citrus, dry lemon and bitters, enriched with frothy egg white. The zesty Pomegranate Punch is gin based featuring pomegranate, citrus and pink tonic with a velvety egg white texture.
If you are feeling a little peckish, the Tryn bar offers a variety of eats to tuck into over your cocktails such as oysters, olives, house salad, cheese and charcuterie platters, and truffle and parmesan fries.
Alternatively, linger a little longer and let Chef Kerry Kilpin indulge you with her dinner delights. Her well-priced three course option of a starter, main and dessert of your choice plus an amuse bouche and truffle treat for R395 per person is excellent autumn value.
The new autumn cocktails are available from 13 May until 13 June.
