February is the month of love and lovers of good food and excellent wine need look no further than Perdeberg Cellar.
The team at the winery have created the perfect Friday dinner date experience with a two-course meal to tickle your taste buds while you enjoy a complimentary glass of MCC. For those just popping in for a short visit, there is a marshmallow pairing, offering the perfect opportunity to show the one you love how soft your heart is while sipping breathtaking wines and bubbly.
Cuisine over candlelight
Every Friday, Eat @ Perdeberg will be plating dishes from the following set menu at only R490 per couple:
Mains:
- 200gr sirloin steak topped with bone marrow
- Chicken “Campagnola” (breast topped with creamed spinach, mozzarella and napolitana sauce, drizzled with white wine)
- Mini seafood platter-Hake in beer batter, crumbed calamari and mussels in white wine with side salad
Dessert:
- Mini strawberry cheesecake with berry compote
- Lindt chocolate mousse
- Deep fried Ice Cream
The full wine list and other beverages will be available to those that wish to enjoy some of Perdeberg’s most-loved drinks.
A month of Marshmallow tastings:
Unique and interesting pairing experiences are available daily for R80pp during February. Each delectable gourmet marshmallow is paired with a Perdeberg wine:
The tasting comes with five unique marshmallows paired with five different wines. Take the opportunity to indulge in the Vineyard Collection Grenache Blanc and Cinsault, Perdeberg Sparkling Wine, MCC Pinot Rosé and the dessert wine, The Dry Land Collection Longevity Natural Sweet Chenin Blanc.
The pairing is as follows:
- MCC Pinot Noir Rosé paired with Rosewater Mallow
- Perdeberg Sparkling Rose paired with Raspberry Mallow
- Grenache Blanc paired with Lime Mallow
- Cinsault paired with Cherry Mallow
- Natural Sweet Chenin Blanc paired with Marmalade & Honeycomb Mallow
