Nestled in the heart of Stellenbosch, the setting alone is breathtaking — rolling vineyards, mountain views, and that perfect Winelands summer atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who immediately made us feel at home. We were given the option to sit inside or outside, and with such a beautiful day, we chose to dine outdoors — the best decision!

We started off with the Mozzarella Flatbread, topped with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, roasted sweet peppers, zucchini, and a fresh lemon herb dressing. It was light, flavourful, and the perfect way to begin the meal — every bite tasted like summer.

For mains, we indulged in two standout dishes. The Neil’s Cut — a 300g ribeye — was cooked to perfection, juicy and rich, paired beautifully with an Asian dressing, caramelised spring onion, and crispy beef potatoes that added the perfect crunch. The Fire Brick Chicken was equally impressive: deboned, flame-cooked, and packed with flavour. Served with pan jus, braaied corn, and truffle butter, it had that irresistible smoky taste that made it feel both comforting and elevated.

Dessert was the perfect sweet ending. The chocolate profiteroles were indulgent and decadent, while the lime ice cream added a refreshing, zesty contrast that balanced everything beautifully.

To complement the meal, we enjoyed a curated wine tasting. The West Coast Sauvignon Blanc was my absolute favourite — crisp, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day. We also tasted the Groenkloof Sauvignon Blanc 2024 and the Amica Sauvignon Blanc 2022, each offering something unique. My friend loved the Rodanos 2021, and we also explored the Groenkloof Syrah 2022 and the Grenache Piekenierskloof 2022 — a beautiful range that truly showcases the winery’s versatility. To top it all off, we were gifted two bottles of our favourite wines, which was such a thoughtful touch.

A special mention has to go to our waiter, Gus, whose service was absolutely incredible. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable — he truly elevated the entire experience and made us feel so well taken care of.
Overall, everything from the food to the wine, the service, and the atmosphere was flawless. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and fully soak in the beauty of the Winelands.
If you’re looking for a memorable dining and wine experience, this is definitely a must-visit.
