The international R&B experience returns for three events in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town from 24 October to 1 November 2026.
One of the world’s leading old-school R&B experiences is returning to South Africa this October as the Old School R&B Brunch brings its global tour to Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The South African leg begins at The Villa in Durban on Saturday, 24 October, followed by Maracanà in Johannesburg on Sunday, 25 October, before concluding at Cabo Beach in Cape Town on Sunday, 1 November 2026.
This year’s tour, themed Heartbreak to High Notes, celebrates the R&B soundtrack that shaped a generation – from the heartbreak anthems and slow jams to the songs that filled dance floors throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
More than a traditional brunch, the experience brings together nostalgic music, crowd-led moments, interactive games, live hosting, food and a high-energy party atmosphere. The louder the crowd sings, the further the DJs and hosts take the experience.
FROM LONDON TO SOUTH AFRICA / ABOUT OSRNB
Founded in London in 2019, Old School R&B Brunch was created by three friends who saw a need for an event dedicated to mature audiences with a genuine love for 1990s R&B.
It has since grown into a global entertainment experience celebrating the music and culture of the 1990s and early 2000s, combining nostalgic music, charismatic DJs and hosts, interactive games, food and audience participation. The experience reaches more than 120,000 guests and operates across over 45 cities in more than 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Dubai, Australia, Japan and several African markets.
The brand has also built an online following of more than 446,000 people on Instagram and 876,000 on TikTok, where its content has generated over 10.8 million likes.
