If you’ve ever stood in the health aisle wondering whether “healthy snacks” can actually taste good, let me save you the trouble — ButtaNutt absolutely delivers.
I recently tried a selection of their products and I genuinely understand the hype now. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, wholesome and indulgent without that overly processed “health food” taste. What stood out most is how simple and clean the ingredient lists are – no weird fillers, no unnecessary oils, and no artificial aftertaste. Just real nuts, properly roasted, blended and packed with flavour.
Here’s my honest review of the products I tried:
Dry-Roasted Pecan Nuts
These were probably the biggest surprise for me. Pecans can sometimes taste overly oily or bitter, but these were rich, buttery and perfectly roasted.
The texture is super crunchy with that natural caramel-like sweetness pecans are known for. They taste luxurious – like the kind of snack you’d expect on a fancy cheese board or at a boutique hotel snack bar.
What I loved:
- Perfect roast level without tasting burnt
- Naturally sweet without any added sugar
- Delicious for snacking straight from the bag
- Tastes incredibly fresh
These are the kind of nuts you start eating “just a few of”… and suddenly the packet is empty.
Dry-Roasted Macadamia Nuts
Macadamias are already elite-level nuts, but these tasted next level.
They’re rich, creamy and buttery with the smoothest crunch. Unlike heavily salted versions you often get in stores, these let the natural flavour of the macadamia shine through.
The quality honestly tastes premium. You can tell they focus on sourcing good nuts rather than masking everything with seasoning.
Best way to describe them?
Luxury snack energy.
Perfect for:
- Snack platters
- Midday protein snacks
- Adding to salads
- Pairing with coffee
Dry-Roasted Almond Nuts
These were crunchy, earthy and deeply roasted without becoming dry.
Sometimes roasted almonds can feel hard or stale, but these still had a lovely natural nuttiness and freshness. They’re simple, clean and super versatile.
I loved adding these to:
- Yogurt bowls
- Oats
- Smoothies
- Homemade trail mix
The roast gives them a richer flavour than raw almonds, which makes them feel way more satisfying as a snack.

100% Peanut Butter
THIS is what peanut butter should taste like.
The ingredient philosophy behind ButtaNutt products focuses on minimal, natural ingredients without unnecessary additives.
The 100% Peanut Butter tastes intensely peanutty, roasted and authentic — not sugary or artificially smooth like many commercial brands.
Texture-wise:
- Creamy but still natural
- Slightly runny (which is a good sign for real nut butter)
- Rich roasted flavour
I especially loved that it doesn’t leave that sugary coating in your mouth afterwards.
This is the kind of peanut butter that works on:
- Toast
- Smoothies
- Protein oats
- Apples
- Straight off the spoon at midnight
And honestly? Once you switch to natural peanut butter, it’s very hard to go back.

100% Almond Nut Butter
I think this might be my favourite product from the entire range.
The almond butter tastes roasted, smooth, slightly sweet and incredibly decadent while still being 100% natural. According to product information, their almond butter uses lightly roasted almonds that are stone-milled for a crunchy-yet-smooth texture.
It has that luxurious café-style almond butter flavour you usually pay extra for in smoothie bars.
Things I loved:
- Deep roasted almond flavour
- Thick, velvety texture
- No weird oils or fillers
- Tastes premium
This would be unreal:
- Drizzled over oats
- On sourdough toast with banana
- In smoothies
- Mixed into baking
It genuinely tastes like something wellness influencers would obsess over — and for good reason.

Fruit & Nut Rusks
Okay… these deserve their own moment.
These rusks are gluten-free, vegan, contain no added sugar and are made with upcycled oats.
Ingredients include:
- Macadamia nuts
- Gluten-free oats
- Raisins
- Sunflower seeds
- Linseed
- Coconut
- Almonds
- Chicory root fibre extract
But despite sounding “healthy healthy”… they’re actually SO good.
The texture is crunchy, hearty and satisfying with little bursts of sweetness from the raisins. They taste homemade in the best way possible — like the upgraded wellness version of traditional tea-time rusks.
Best enjoyed:
- Dunked in coffee
- With tea
- As a breakfast snack
- During afternoon slumps
I also love that they don’t feel overly sweet, so you don’t crash afterwards.
What makes ButtaNutt stand out to me is that the products taste clean, fresh and genuinely premium without trying too hard.
You can tell there’s a strong focus on:
- Simple ingredients
- Real flavour
- High-quality nuts
- Minimal processing
- Sustainability and local sourcing
In a world full of ultra-processed “health foods,” this feels refreshingly real.
If you love wholesome snacks, nut butters or healthier pantry staples that still taste indulgent, ButtaNutt is absolutely worth trying.
